History
- Originally built by the Chinese during the construction of the water race at the end of the nineteenth century
- Reconstructed in 1990
- Made of sod mud bricks
- Located on the Eastern side of the Roaring Lion Trail (refer to map) approximately 9km from the Ski Hut
Bed Layout
- Sleeps up to four people in bunk beds
- Guests sleep top to tail with two people on the top bunk and two people on the bottom bunk
Facilities
- Open fire place with wood provided
- Two burner gas element (with gas)
- Basic utensils, pans and cutlery, crockery
- Outdoor bath which can be heated with the gas provided
- Long drop toilet located near the hut
- You might see a mouse
