From Queenstown traveling south along the shores of Lake Wakatipu we will transport you to the small farming settlement of Garston (the most inland village in New Zealand)!
Enjoy a complimentary coffee (or beverage of choice) at the fantastic Coffee Bomb where they grind Southland Roar coffee beans. Maybe try something from the menu.....
We continue our journey driving along the Nevis Road, an uphill climb for 8kms. Our destination is the Historic Southland Ski Hut where the Welcome Rock Trails story begins.
Tucked being the Historic Southland Ski Hut is the start of the trail. Our driver will leave you here to enjoy the 27km loop track at your leisure and be back to collect you later on in the day to transport you back to Queenstown.

There is an option to shorten the trip to 21kms instead of 27kms, this can be arranged on the day.
